§ MR. LAYARDSir, in reply to the hon. Member, I have to state that we have received telegrams which confirm the reports of the defeat of the Austrian army between Sadowa and Horwitz. There is also reason to believe that the statement of the Moniteur, which appears in the second edition of The Times, is correct.
