said, he should postpone till Monday his Question as to the intention of the Government in respect to giving compensation for stock, hides, horns, &c, destroyed or buried by direction of Cattle Plague Inspectors, acting under Orders in Council.

SIR GEORGE GREY

said, he thanked his hon. Friend. It would be more convenient to postpone the Question till he made a general statement as to the intentions of the Government.
