House informed, that the Committee had determined— That Adolphus William Young, esquire, was not duly elected a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Helston. That the last Election for the said Borough is a void Election. And the said Determinations were ordered to be entered in the Journals of this House. House further informed, that the Committee had agreed to the following Resolutions:—

  1. 1. That Adolphus William Young, esquire, was, by his Agents, guilty of bribery and treating at the last Election:
  2. 2. That it was proved to the Committee that William Rowe received an offer of £20 from Henry James Seccombe, the Agent of the said Adolphus William Young, in order to induce him to vote for the said Adolphus William Young:
  3. 3. That it was not proved that the said Acts of bribery and treating were committed with the knowledge and consent of the said Adolphus William Young:
  4. 4. That the Committee have no reason to believe that corrupt practices have extensively prevailed at the last Election for the said Borough.
