AYTOUNsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether it is the intention of the Government to bring in a Bill during the present Session for the purpose of granting a new Charter to the Queen's University in Ireland, or of altering the composition of the Senate; and, if so, whether the Bill will be brought in at an early period of the Session?
§ SIR GEORGE GREY, in reply, said, he proposed to introduce a Bill the object of which would be to give effect to the intentions of the Government as stated in the letter of the Lord Lieutenant; but he 1507 could not, say that the measure, which he hoped to bring forward on an early day, would be of the precise character implied in the Question of his hon. Friend.
