MR. CARD WELLsaid, that the Despatches received from New Zealand by the last mail would be immediately printed and laid before the House. They would show that, in one instance, a friendly native chief had obtained a victory over a rebel native chief; that a rebel chief had been captured in another case. It might be agreeable to the House to learn that the Colonial Government had sent home £500,000 of their debentures, to be delivered to Her Majesty's Treasury on account of their debt to this country.
