§ MR. A. F. EGERTONsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to bring in any Bill this Session to make Regulations with a view to prevent Accidents by the Explosion of Gunpowder?
MR. T. G. BARINGreplied, that such a Bill was in preparation, but as Reports on the subject had been so recently printed, and it was desirable to give the trade an opportunity of making any representations which they might desire to put forward, the Bill would not be introduced till after Whitsuntide.
