§ MR. O'REILLYsaid, he would beg to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether his attention has been called to the misstatements contained in the Report of Inspector C. Graham, on the National School of Coote Street, Ireland, published in the Return laid upon the table of this House on 20th June, 1864; and whether he will have any objection to lay upon the table of the House copies of the letter of the Commissioners of National Education to the Rev. James Dunne, withdrawing these misstatements, dated 1st April, 1865, and of the letter of the Rev. James Dunne to the Commissioners, dated 6th April, 1865?
§ SIR ROBERT PEEL, in reply, said, he 876 had not yet had an opportunity of communicating with the Commissioners of National Education in Ireland upon the subject; but he was not aware that there were any misstatements in them. However he would inquire into the matter.
§ MR. O'REILLYsaid, he wished to know whether there would be any objection to lay the correspondence on the table?
§ SIR ROBERT PEELsaid, he should prefer communicating with the authorities in Ireland before giving any pledge.
