HC Deb 23 March 1865 vol 178 cc82-3
GENERAL PEEL

said, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for War, Whether any Despatch or Letter was received by the late Mail from New Zealand from General Cameron expressing any opinion as to the propriety of removing from New Zealand any portion of the Troops; and, if so, whether it will be laid on the table of the House with the other Despatches?

THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

replied, that General Cameron's last Despatches, in which he alluded to the probable withdrawal of troops from New Zealand, would shortly be laid on the table of the House.
