§ MR. MITFORDsaid, he wished to ask the President of the Poor Law Board, Whether he intends to bring in a Bill this Session to carry out the recommendations of the Poor Law Committee with respect to Unions and Parishes under Gilbert's Act?
§ MR. C. P. VILLIERSsaid, in reply, that the Committee on the Poor Laws had recommended that the Poor Law Board should have the same power in Unions under the Gilbert's Act as in those constituted under the Poor Law Amendment Act, and accordingly when introducing a Bill for the renewal of the Commission he should make provision for that purpose.
