HC Deb 03 March 1865 vol 177 c1044
MR. DARBY GRIFFITH

said, he would beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether Sir Henry Bulvver has gone from Cairo to make an inspection of the works of the Suez Canal; whether he will make an early Report on the subject; and whether such Report will be laid upon the table of the House?

VISCOUNT PALMERSTON

Sir Henry Bulwer has been at Cairo, but has been confined by an attack of illness. Some time ago he paid a visit to the Suez Canal, but I do not believe he has lately done so. There is no Report from him to be laid before this- House.
