§ MR. LAYARDsaid, in reply, that there was no truth whatever in the rumour. On the contrary, the Commission had been improved by the addition of new Members of the Austrian Government. The Commission had adjourned for the hot months, during which most people left Vienna, but they would meet again in September, and there was every prospect that their labours would be attended by a satisfactory result.
