§ Resolutions [June 1] reported.
§ MR. DILLWYNasked for more information. There was a rumour that, many years ago, the Soulage Collection was purchased but had not been paid for until about a month or three weeks ago. He wished to know whether some portion of this Vote was not interest, and whether the Government wanted to conceal from the House the expenditure the South Kensington Museum cost the country.
§ SIR GEORGE GREYreplied that his right hon. Friend (Mr. Bruce), who could have answered the question, had left the House; but if the hon. Gentleman gave 1261 notice in the usual way it would be answered.
