MR. BERKELEYasked the Home Secretary, Whether it is the intention of the Government to bring forward, this Session, any stringent and decisive measure for the prevention of corruption and the protection of Electors at Parliamentary Elections?
§ SIR GEORGE GREYsaid, the Government did not intend to propose a Bill upon that subject during the present Session.
MR. BERKELEYgave notice that he should, in that case, propose a Resolution for the purpose of giving protection to voters at Parliamentary Elections in the shape of a Ballot Bill.
