HC Deb 23 February 1865 vol 177 cc600-1
MR. FERRAND

inquired, Whether the Government intended, during the present Session, to introduce any measure for the protection of life and property from unsecure and dangerous waterworks?

SIR GEORGE GREY

replied, that the draft of a Bill had been prepared containing clauses, which, if expedient, might be inserted in all Private Bills relating to the construction of reservoirs. This was a matter rather within the province of the Board of Trade, and he had accordingly referred the matter to his right hon. Friend, and the Bill was at present under his consideration.
