MR. MAGTTIREasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, When it is the intention of the Government to introduce the promised measure for reforming the Court of Admiralty in Ireland, and assimilating the Law in Ireland to that which exists in England?
§ SIR ROBERT PEELsaid, the Government of Ireland had prepared a Bill for the purpose referred to founded on the Report of the Commission, and the late Attorney General for Ireland had intended to introduce it to the House. The matter was under the consideration of the Government, but owing to the recent changes in the Irish Law Officers he was at present unable to say when the measure would be introduced.
