VANCEsaid, he wished to ask, Whether Mr. Attorney General will consent to postpone the Committee on the Court of Chancery (Ireland) Bill, which is fixed for May 11, as that day would be very inconvenient to Irish Members. The Dublin Exhibition was to be opened by the Prince of Wales on May 9, and therefore it would be very convenient to postpone the Bill until the following Monday.
THE ATTORNEY GENERALsaid, that he should be willing to accede to the hon. Gentleman's suggestion if it should be consistent with the progress of public business, but he would undertake not to proceed with the particular clauses to which the hon. Gentleman wished to call attention.
