§ MR. WALPOLEsaid, he wished to ask a Question respecting the subject which had been referred to a Select Committee —the seats of the Under Secretaries. The House was aware that the Committee had made a Report, but that there had been great differences of opinion. He wished to know, Whether the Government intend to propose any legislation upon the subject?
§ SIR GEORGE GREY, in reply, said, the general opinion seemed to be that there was a great difficulty as to the construction of the Act of Parliament, and therefore the Government did intend to introduce a Bill to amend it.
