said, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, When the papers relative to the case of Mr. James M'Hugh, moved for on the 14th of June, will be produced; and whether any Communication has been received from the Government of the United States holding out any expectation of an early release of Mr. M'Hugh?

MR. LAYARD,

in reply, said, he expected by every mail to hear of the release of Mr. M'Hugh, and he hoped he might be able to lay it on the table to-morrow.
