THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON, in reply, said, he hoped that all the information that was in the possession of the Adjutant General on the points mentioned by the hon. and gallant Member would be laid on the table, to-morrow or next day, with other papers relating to the Ashantee war. The Returns received up to the present time by the Adjutant General only reached up to the end of last April, and did not contain the names of all the Officers who were stated by the hon. and gallant Mem- 1729 ber to have died subsequently to that date. All the information that was in the possession of the Horse Guards would be laid upon the table of the House.
