HC Deb 28 July 1864 vol 176 c2158
MR. HENRY SEYMOUR

said, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, If the newly I appointed Canon of Westminster, who is ex officio Rector of St. Margaret's West-mister, is to receive a fixed stipend or a proportion of the gross income of the canonry; and, if so, what proportion?

MR. T. G. BARING,

in reply, said, he believed the stipend of the newly appointed Canon of Westminster would be fixed, and that it would amount to £1,000 a year. As, however, the question depended upon the construction of several Acts of Parliament, he could not give a positive answer.
