HC Deb 08 July 1864 vol 176 c1195
SIR FREDERIC SMITH

said, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for War, Whether he has any objection to lay upon the table of the House a statement showing the number of Officers and Soldiers of the Regular Forces, as well ns of the Militia and Volunteers, who have been killed or wounded, up to the last Returns, in the New Zealand War?

THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

replied that there would be no objection on his part to give a statement of the officers and men of the Regular Forces killed or wounded up to the last Returns in the Now Zealand war, and he had no doubt that the Colonial Office would be willing to give a similar statement with respect to the Militia and Volunteers.
