§ MR. H. B. SHERIDANsaid, he would beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether it is his intention to proceed with the Government Annuities Bill tomorrow; and whether, considering that the title of the Bill does not convey the real objects of the Bill, and that it has passed through two stages without being fully understood; and further, considering the great interests affected by the proposed alteration of the law, the right hon. Gentleman would have any objection to postpone, for a short time, the consideration of the measure?
§ SIR GEORGE GREYsaid, in the absence of his right hon. Colleague, he must ask the hon. Gentleman to repeat his Question.
