HC Deb 16 February 1864 vol 173 c645

Order for Second Reading read.

SIR JOHN SHELLEY

said, that he had intended to oppose this and two other Bills promoted by the same company, which he thought were mere fighting Bills; but he would withdraw his opposition, in order to give the Company an opportunity of showing whether they meant bonâ fide to give the district the accommodation they professed a wish to afford.

Bill read 2°, and committed.
