asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether the certificates of the magistrates and medical men, upon which Townley was removed, would be included in the papers to be laid on the table of the House; and if the whole of the papers would be before the House prior to the second reading of the Bill introduced by the right hon. Baronet last night?

SIR GEORGE GREY

stated that the papers connected with this case, including the certificates of the borough magistrates and medical men upon which Townley had been removed to the lunatic asylum, would be in the hands of Members before lie moved the second reading of the Bill.
