HC Deb 29 May 1863 vol 171 c5
MR. NEWDEGATE (who had a notice on the Votes to move for copies of Papers on the subject)

said, he wished to ask the Secretary of State for India, Whether he will lay on the Table of the House the Papers mentioned in his (Mr. Newdegate's) Notice, either alone or in combination with others?

SIR CHARLES WOOD

said, he was very willing to give all the Papers necessary to show the whole of the case. The Papers which the hon. Gentleman had enumerated in his Notice would not do this, and he (Sir Charles Wood) would therefore add to them all that was necessary. With this addition, he should make no opposition to the Motion.
