§ MR. HENRY SEYMOURsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to recommend to Her Majesty to summon the Convocations of Armagh and Dublin in the same manner as the Convocations of Canterbury and York are summoned?
§ SIR GEORGE GREY, in reply, said, two memorials had been addressed to Her Majesty by Irish Prelates—one in 1861, praying for a synod of the United Church of England and Ireland; and another in 1862, praying Her Majesty to authorize the meeting of Convocation. No application had been made for a separate Convocation of Armagh and Dublin, and Her: Majesty had not been advised to authorize any such proceeding.
