§ MR. CRAUFURDsaid, the object of the Bill was to extend to Scotland the English law in regard to relief from oaths in criminal proceedings. He moved that it be read a second time.
THE SOLICITOR GENERALsaid, there was no objection to assimilating the law of the two countries in this respect.
