§ SIR CHARLES WOODsaid, in reply, that, in pursuance of a promise made by 967 the noble Lord who preceded him in his office, an inquiry was ordered to take place in India. Some of the parties objected that they had received no notice of the inquiry, and he had therefore directed the Government of India to issue another Commission, giving notice to the parties so as to enable them to represent their case before the Commission.
