In answer to Mr. FERRAND,

SIR GEORGE GREY

stated, in reply, that he sent to the Solicitor of the Treasury the papers respecting the alleged Federal recruiting in Leeds, in order that that officer might see whether, in the opinion of counsel, the statements contained in them were sufficient to serve as the, foundation for legal proceedings. He had not yet received an answer on the subject.
