said, he wished to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether he will introduce any Bill this Session to facilitate the execution of Public Works in those parts of Ireland where the want of employment has placed the working classes in as destitute a condition as the operatives are in the Manufacturing Districts in England?

SIR ROBERT PEEL

, in reply, said, the Government did not contemplate the introduction during the present Session of any Bill relating to the execution of Public Works in Ireland similar to those proposed for Lancashire.
