THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTONreplied that it was not intended that the St. Helena Regiment should be immediately disbanded. But it was intended to be absorbed by the gradual draught of the men into other regiments. A considerable number of the Officers had been already transferred to a West India Regiment.
