§ Resolutions (June 5) reported.
§ Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the said Resolutions be now read a second time."
§ SIR JAMES ELPHINSTONEsaid, he wished to draw attention to one fact connected with the Vote for Alderney. It was strange, that though defended by the Secretary to the Admiralty, by the Secretary to the Treasury, and the First Lord of the Treasury, the Vote had not been defended by the hon. Gentleman the Junior Lord of the Admiralty, in whose Department it was. He moved the adjournment of the Debate.
§ LORD CLARENCE PAGETsaid, the expenditure was no more in the Department of the Junior Lord of the Admiralty than any other branch of the business.

§ Debate adjourned till To-morrow.
