§ SIR GEORGE GREYreplied, that the intentions of the Government on the sub- 251 ject were not finally formed. The Lord Chancellor was in communication with the Judges relative to the provisions of a Bill which had been prepared on the subject by the Attorney General. It was, however, impossible that any alteration could come into operation before the next Spring Assizes.
