§ MR. VANSITTARTsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for India, Whether his attention has been directed to the Memorials of Her Majesty's Covenanted Civil Servants which have been forwarded to him and laid upon the table of the House?
§ SIR CHARLES WOODsaid, in reply, that when last the hon. Gentleman called his attention to the subject, he had received two Memorials from the Covenanted Civil Servants in India. Since that time a third had been received, and he could assure the hon. Gentleman that the careful attention of himself and the Council of India would be directed to the subject.
