COLONEL DICKSON

said, he would move the second reading of the Bill.

SIR ROBERT PEEL

appealed to the hon. Gentleman to postpone the second reading to a future day when it could be taken at an earlier hour.

MR. HENNESSY

said, he hoped the Bill would be read a second time now, as it was a measure very much wanted in Ireland.

COLONEL DUNNE

said, he thought the Bill should be referred to a Select Committee.

COLONEL DICKSON

said, he would accede to that course.
