§ MR. SLANEYsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, If he will introduce a clause in the Highways Bill to enforce the repairs of footpaths being highways across fields and elsewhere near great towns?
§ SIR GEORGE GREYsaid, he was not quite sure that such a clause would come directly within the purpose of the Highways Bill; but he would recommend his hon. Friend to give notice of a clause to the effect stated, and the matter would be considered.
