said, in the absence of his hon. Colleague (Mr. Berkeley), he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, The reason why the Returns respecting the Armstrong guns, moved for on the 7th day of March and withdrawn, and renewed on the 18th day of March with the concurrence of the Secretary of State for War, have not been laid upon the table at this late period of the Session?

said, that this Return had to be founded upon the accounts of the Royal Gun Factory for the year ending the 31st of March last. These accounts had only lately been made up in a complete form. The Return would shortly be ready.
