HC Deb 29 July 1862 vol 168 cc985-6
MR. KINNAIRD

said, he wished to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether he is aware that no Report of the Proceedings of the Royal Commissioners for managing the Patriotic Fund has been made since February, 1858; and whether he has any objection to state if he has received any Special Report from the Royal Victoria Female Orphan Asylum of its management during the present year?

SIR GEORGE LEWIS

said, he understood that no such Report had yet been made, but that one would shortly be produced. He believed that it would contain some explanations with regard to the Asylum to which his hon. Friend referred. He would make further inquiry with regard to the administration of that fund; and if he should ascertain anything of importance, he would communicate it to his hon. Friend.
