I have received your Address praying that a Commission may be issued to inquire into the present position of the Royal Academy in relation to the Fine Arts, and into the circumstances and conditions under which it occupies a portion of the National Gallery, and to suggest such measures as may be required to render it more useful in promoting Art and in improving and developing Public Taste.And I have given directions that a Commission shall issue for the purposes which you have requested,
