HC Deb 21 July 1862 vol 168 cc601-2
MR. H. BERKELEY

said, he would beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether the contract with Mr. A. G. Churchward for carrying the Continental Mails between Dover and Calais and Dover and Ostend has been transferred by that gentleman to any other person or Company; and whether such transfer, if made, has received the sanction of Her Majesty's Government?

MR. PEEL

replied that he was not aware of any such transfer having been made, and the contract expressly provided that none such should be made.
