MR. HENRY SEYMOUR

said, he rose to ask Mr. Attorney General, If he will state to the House what steps the Government intend to take with a view to the consolidation and amendment of the Church Building Acts?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

said, that instructions had been given to Mr. Stephens to collect the various statistics on the subject, with a view to framing a Consolidation Bill.

MR. HADFIELD

said, he wished to inquire at what time it is likely the Bill will be introduced?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

said, there was no prospect of its being ready to bring before the House during the present Session.
