said, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether Her Majesty's Assent has been given to the Jamaica Incumbered Estates Act; and, if so, when the Proclamation will be made, in accordance with the provisions of the West India Incumbered Estates Act of 1854?

MR. CHICHESTER FORTESCUE

said, the Crown would be advised to give assent to the Jamaica Incumbered Estates Act, which would bring into operation in the West Indies the West India Incumbered Estates Court; and the necessary Order in Council would be issued without delay.
