said he rose to ask a question of the Under Secretary of State for War-the Adelaide transport look out to China, by order of the Secretary of State for War, Captain Grant's cooking apparatus, sufficient for 5,000 men, in order to test its efficiency for troops in the field the waggons were never lauded, though three written applications were made by Captain Milward, who had the charge of them-Whether the Adelaide did not take them to Hong Kong, and whether they are in use there now?

said, that Sir Hope Grant had informed him that he did not think it necessary to land the apparatus referred to. He could not soy whether they were at present in operation.
