HC Deb 17 June 1861 vol 163 c1171
MR. HADFIELD

said, he wished to to ask the hon. and learned Attorney General, What course he proposed to adopt with regard to this Bill?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

I have not had an opportunity of communicating with Her Majesty's Government upon the results of the Amendments which have been introduced in the House of Lords. I am generally aware that what we sent up to the House of Lords as a complete Measure, has in point of fact been so dealt with, that not a single feature which appeared to me valuable in the Bill—["Order!" "Chair."]

MR. SPEAKER

reminded the hon. and learned Gentleman that the Bill had not come down from the other House.
