HC Deb 29 April 1861 vol 162 c1214
MR. PEACOCKE

said, he wished to ask the hon. and learned Gentleman who has charge of the conveyance of this measure, Whether he intends to proceed with it on Wednesday?

MR. COLLIER

said, that if he was to understand that the measure of the Home Secretary for the prevention of Corrupt Practices at Elections was not to be a mere Continuance Bill, but would deal with the general question, and that it would also be pressed forward without unnecessary delay, he thought it would be better to leave the subject of the Conveyance of Voters in that right hon. Gentleman's hands.
