§ MR. LOCKEsaid, he wished to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, When the Annual Return of the Conservators of the Thames will be made, according to the provisions of the Thames Conservancy Act of 1857?
SIR GEORGE LEWIS, in reply, said, that the Annual Report of the Conservators of the Thames was not made to the Home Department. It was made to the Houses of Parliament directly. He had not any knowledge on the subject, as the Report did not pass through his hands. He observed, however, that the last Report was dated 23rd April, 1860, therefore an entire year had not elapsed since the last Report had been presented.
