said, he rose to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether the Government will recommend that the Public shall have a more frequent and free access to the Royal Botanic Gardens, near Dublin?

MR. CARDWELL

said, the Botanic Gardens were under the direction of the Privy Council of Education. He had ascertained from his right hon. Friend (Mr. Lowe), that it was their intention to open the gardens as freely to the public as Kew Gardens are now opened.
