brought up the Report of the Committee appointed to inspect the Journals of the House of Lords with relation to the proceedings on the Paper Duty Repeal Bill. The Report was as follows:—The Committee appointed to inspect the Journals of the House of Lords with relation to any proceedings on the Paper Duty Repeal Bill, have inspected the said Journals accordingly, and found the following entry:— Die Luna, 21 Maii, 1807. Paper Duty Repeal Bill. Order of the Day for the Second Reading, and for the Lords to be summoned, read, moved that the Bill be now read a second time. Objected to, and an Amendment moved to leave out the word 'now,' and insert the words 'this day six months.' After a long debate on the question that the word 'now' stand part of the Motion, resolved in the negative, Bill to be read a second time that day six months.
