HC Deb 14 May 1860 vol 158 c1208
MR. E. P. BOUVERIE

said, he wished to know, Whether the hon. and learned Gentleman the Attorney General can tell the House when it will be asked to go into Committee on the Bankruptcy Bill?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

said, he thought that was a very cruel question to address to him. At present, he saw no probability of being able to obtain a day for the consideration of that measure. But he had urged his noble Friend at the head of the Government to give them that day week for the purpose, and he hoped they would then be enabled to make such progress in the Committee that he would afterwards be allowed a morning sitting for its further consideration.
