§ SIR DE LACY EVANSwas understood to ask the noble Lord the Secretary of Slate for Foreign Affairs, Whether he has received any Despatches from the Piedmontese Government relative to any projected, expedition of General Garibaldi to Sicily, and whether he will have any objection to lay them on the table?
§ LORD JOHN RUSSELLwas understood to say that it would not be desirable to publish any Despatches which had come to the hands of the Government on the subject, considering the ill effects which had followed from the publication of Despatches relative to a previous projected expedition of General Garibaldi in Central Italy.
